Fit First Philosophy

I believe the best bike fit always starts with you, not the bike. Whether you already own a bike or you’re still choosing your first one, the most reliable way to find a comfortable, efficient, and confident riding position is to begin with how your body moves - not with the frame on the shop floor.

Using a fully adjustable fitting jig, I can build your ideal position from the ground up. This means I’m not constrained by a specific bike’s size or geometry; instead, I work with your movement, goals, and needs first and foremost. Once we’ve found the position that feels right for you, we can apply those measurements to your current bike - or help guide your choice when buying a new one.

If you don’t have a bike yet:

This is actually one of the best times to start. By finding your ideal position first, we remove guesswork and help you avoid costly mistakes. You’ll have the confidence of knowing a bike that matches your position, geometry, and needs before you buy.

If you already have a bike:

Great. I use your ideal position as the benchmark for setting it up accurately and comfortably. Where the bike allows, I’ll make adjustments that reflect your best fit. If your current frame or components limit what’s possible, I’ll explain those limitations clearly and help you understand the best options going forward.

With my Fit First approach, your setup is always built around you - not what happens to be on the shop floor or what someone else thinks “should” work.
